Review: 2 Guns

4 August 2013 by Jess

The title pretty much sums it up. It’s a pretty violent flick. But, it was pretty entertaining, too. Denzel Washington plays Bobby, an undercover DEA agent trying to bring down a Mexican drug cartel, led by Edward James Olmos’s character Papi, with his partner, an undercover US Navy Intelligence officer, Stig, played by Mark Wahlberg. […]

Review: Olympus Has Fallen

11 July 2013 by Jess

I don’t often say no to Gerard Butler or Morgan Freeman, so as soon as I saw Butler was playing the hero in this film, I bought in. The movie gets off to a very rocky start, and opens with Butler as Mike Banning, a personal security detail on the President (Aaron Eckhart), on Christmas […]

Review: A Good Day to Die Hard

18 February 2013 by Jess

After you get through so many sequels, it’s not surprising that they never live up to the original. I’m extremely saddened to say this one is the fourth best out of the five Die Hard films. The trailers for it are pretty good–they promoted the heck out of this movie and they really did a […]

Tarantino Unchained: Review

6 January 2013 by Jess

The big show. The one we’ve been waiting for. Quentin Tarantino makes a Western. Fuck. Yes. I finally saw this with my niece yesterday and was blown away. I’ve been a Tarantino fan since I saw Pulp Fiction almost ten years ago (I was six when it came out, so give me a break). In […]

Why Javier Bardem Will Be The Best Bond Villain of the Past 20 Years

13 October 2011 by Jess

I just learned who will be playing the villain in the next James Bond film: Javier Bardem. Yes, the really good-looking Spaniard from Eat, Pray, Love. Here’s why this was probably the BEST move the Bond film creators could have made at this point, after an inexplicably poor showing for the previous film, Quantum of […]

Review: “Drive” To the Movies

8 October 2011 by Jess

I saw the movie Drive the other day. Ryan Gosling is on a roll this year. Crazy Stupid Love, Drive, and The Ides of March, all released within a few months, and all worth seeing. He plays three very different characters in each movie, a sexy womanizer, a quiet brute, and a savvy political aid. […]

About the Blog

This is a place to share my love and excessive fandom of film, actors, and television. I gush a lot, and I complain a lot, usually not simultaneously.

I share my take on the latest movies I’ve seen (some new, some new to me, and some classics that are worth a rewatch), and a little promotion here and there for shows or films that I feel deserve a little more attention than they’re getting.

So, kick back, settle in, switch on, tune in, or whatever you have to do and join in on the love for all things that move on-screen.
