Tuesday Recaps: It’s a Long Night

27 January 2013 by Jess

I packed the entire Tuesday line-up in here, minus New Girl, so it’s a long one! Justified Boyd figures out it’s the sister he has to talk to, not the preacher, to get what he wants done. However, when one of his men gets attacked by the snakes that surround the preacher’s room while he […]

Review: The Amateurs

24 January 2013 by Jess

I was a little wary when I first read what this movie was supposed to be about, but who can say no to the Dude? Jeff Bridges is a loser who’s spent his life trying and failing at a dozen different enterprises. He finally hits on a million dollar idea–he’ll make a porno. Partnering up […]

CBS Monday and the Premiere of The Following!

22 January 2013 by Jess

Because CBS is weird about not showing full eps of 2 Broke Girls, this one is going to have to go by the wayside in favor of the new show, The Following on Fox! How I Met Your Mother Barney and Robin are both adjusting to engaged life as Barney has to find a way […]

Sunday Night Recaps: Five-0, Smash, and Revenge

21 January 2013 by Jess

Smash First off, I loved this show last season. It’s fun seeing a musical on TV, and the music is amazing. It has its flaws–mostly dialogue on the part of Anjelica Huston’s role and a little too much cliche in Karen’s small-town personality–but it’s easy to look past those things with such a great ensemble […]

Overdue Recaps: Elementary and The Carrie Diaries

21 January 2013 by Jess

Elementary came back with one episode and then took a hiatus for a few weeks, which has allowed me to procrastinate recapping this particular episode, “M” for longer than I otherwise would. In any case, here are few episode recaps that are perhaps a bit overdue… Elementary Holmes gets personal. When he discovers that the […]

Thursday Night Dramas: The Bottom Drops Out

Last Resort James is ready to leave with Tani as she prepares to take her brother back to Australia. When Sam gives him a new set of orders, i.e. people to potentially kill, James has to change his mind and stay. To get Tani to leave, he confesses, angrily, that he slept with Grace while […]

Good News and a Double Bonus for #Whedony Fans Everywhere!

20 January 2013 by Jess

Just thought I’d share this awesome news:  The script for the Avengers 2 is nearly done. There will be a #Whedony-led SHIELD television series on Fox, possibly starting as early as this Fall (source: MTV). Cue excited screams. Tuesday and Thursday Comedies: Guest Appearances Galore!

20 January 2013 by Jess

Go On Ryan tries dating again (and we get a pop-in from Barney’s ex, Nora, from HIMYM, AND Shaun White, who plays a nice guy compared to the dick he was in Friends with Benefits) and it turns out he’s not bad at it. In the process, however, he ends up hurting Carrie, whom he’s […]

Wednesday Night and New Thursday Premiere: Drama Building or Crumbling?

19 January 2013 by Jess

American Horror Story: Asylum Kit lives somewhat polygamously with Alma and Grace and their children, but as Grace becomes more obsessed with the visitation and abduction she experienced from the aliens, Alma becomes increasingly distressed and afraid of their return. Without warning, Alma kills Grace in the middle of the night, and Grace goes the […]

About the Blog

This is a place to share my love and excessive fandom of film, actors, and television. I gush a lot, and I complain a lot, usually not simultaneously.

I share my take on the latest movies I’ve seen (some new, some new to me, and some classics that are worth a rewatch), and a little promotion here and there for shows or films that I feel deserve a little more attention than they’re getting.

So, kick back, settle in, switch on, tune in, or whatever you have to do and join in on the love for all things that move on-screen.
