Review: Fast and Furious 6

Of all the movies I saw in May this year, this was the big fan favorite. Not only did it kick butt at the box office, but the people in the theater when I saw it (at 11:30 in the morning on a Monday after opening weekend) actually applauded at the end of it. You don’t get applause at a movie like that except for the midnight showing before it opens that day. I couldn’t believe it.

I have to say, I liked Fast 5 better. This was a pretty decent movie, good action, decent story, all the favorite characters are back, good villains. Bad dialogue, once again, but to be expected. Still, despite its merits, and unwavering fan base, I was a little disappointed with it compared to the previous installment. It felt more about the explosions and bullets than the cars. And I thought bringing Letty back was a cheap play. Also, I like Elena a little better.

Watching Paul Walker play daddy was a little comical. It’s like he doesn’t get that he doesn’t have to be a tough guy with his infant son. Even Vin Diesel is better with the kid, and he’s an ACTUAL tough guy, where as Walker just tries.

I will say it was awesome to watch Gina Carano (Haywire) in another ass-kicking role, and the film had a half-decent twist at the end.

(Potential SPOILER: END OF THE FILM)

The movie ends in a nice way, with the whole gang back in LA with their slates clean, back in the beat up house where they all started, or at least where Dom, Mia and Letty started way back in the first movie in 2001. Back to their roots, with barbecues, garages, and Grace at dinner, it’s a nice tie up to a series that most of us thought was dead after the second one came out and tried to make Paul Walker the hero.

They could have left it at that, but oh, no. The final scene that rolls during the credits that reveals the new villain for the next sequel (I’ll avoid saying who, but IMDb already has a page for Fast 7, and a search even without clicking the page tells you who, so I’ll avoid spoilers, but you probably won’t be able to for long) was a little predictable. Though the new villain is by far one of my favorite action stars, and it will be fun to see him as the bad guy, and he is kind of perfect for this franchise (don’t know why no one thought of it sooner), I don’t have high expectations for the next movie. I think they’ll be all cliched out.

4-starsYes, I am still giving it four stars, even though it seems as if I had very few nice things to say about it. If you don’t like the franchise, fast cars, muscles, or action movies, this is not the one for you. But, if you like any of the above, it’s not a bad way to spend an afternoon.

It affects chemicals in the body that are involved in the cause of some types of hurt. There are many medicines which give you things you need to be ready on your own terms. What doctors talk about viagra or cialis? It contains Sildenafil. Also known as erectile dysfunction is defined as the impossibility to attain an erection suitable for intercourse. Having erectile disfunction can no doubt complicate dating. Many men take more medicines later in life and some have sexual side effects that will lead to emasculation. Some of medications fuel wish. Certain far-famed medicaments can mean screwing with your orgasm. What is the most significant facts you perhaps know know about this?

About the Blog

This is a place to share my love and excessive fandom of film, actors, and television. I gush a lot, and I complain a lot, usually not simultaneously.

I share my take on the latest movies I’ve seen (some new, some new to me, and some classics that are worth a rewatch), and a little promotion here and there for shows or films that I feel deserve a little more attention than they’re getting.

So, kick back, settle in, switch on, tune in, or whatever you have to do and join in on the love for all things that move on-screen.
