New Shows in the Works!

7 February 2013 by Jess

Recently, I came across this article about some upcoming shows in the works for the fall season, and I wanted to share my thoughts on a few of them as they appear now, in the early stages. We’ll get into them more once they get further along, but there are a few diamonds in the rough, I think! Check them out!

1. SHIELD

Based on the organization from the Avengers and previous Marvel films (like Iron Man), and written by Joss Whedon. Need I say more?  Seriously, this show sounds amazing and I can’t wait to check it out.

It’s got a few familiar faces, primarily Clark Gregg as Agent Coulson (same guy from Iron Man and the Avengers–since he died in the Avengers, I can only assume this show will take place prior to modern day), as well as Chloe Bennet who you may recognize as Gunnar’s one-time record company girlfriend from Nashville.

2. Rake

Greg Kinnear=win. End of story. I like lawyer shows (Suits, Ally McBeal, Franklin and Bash, The Defenders – short-lived but awesome, The Whole Truth – also short-lived, but also pretty fun, Dirty Sexy Money, etc.) to begin with, so another show with some interesting plotlines should be fun.

3. Sleepy Hollow

I’m not sure I buy the premise. It sounds like a spin on Grimm and OUAT, setting a crime drama/suspense story in the past. It has some big names behind it, but until they start casting, I can’t say for sure whether I’m in or not.

4. Bad Teacher

Based on the story of the movie by the same name, this show sounds like a longer version of the film. I LOVED the movie. It was a little raunchy in parts, but hilarious nonetheless, and I belong to the Church of All Things Jason Segel Are Awesome so I loved his role in the movie that much more. I only wished it had lasted longer.

The idea itself doesn’t lend itself to a series, but we’ll see how it goes. While I would definitely tune in if they got Jason Segel in (not gonna happen, since HIMYM is up for it’s ninth and FINAL season next year), if they have a similar character and choose someone pretty great for it, I may have to give it a shot.

5. Untitled Michael J. Fox Comedy

I can’t wait to see how this comes out. I’ve been watching Michael J. Fox since Spin City and he was my second favorite part about that show, only second to Barry Bostwick who is hilarious as the dufus mayor. Back to the Future and Family Ties were before my time, but they’re a lot of fun to watch too.

This show will tie his Parkinson’s disease into it, and I think that’s incredible. Parkinson’s doesn’t get a whole lot of play on television, unlike Alzheimer’s, so it’ll be interesting to have a good inside look at how it affects people and how they manage it.

It affects chemicals in the body that are involved in the cause of some types of ache. There are many medicines which give you things you need to be ready on your own terms. What doctors talk about viagra or cialis? It contains Sildenafil. Also known as erectile disfunction is defined as the impossibility to attain an erection suitable for intercourse. Having erectile disfunction can no doubt complicate dating. Many men take more medicines later in life and some have sexual side effects that will lead to impotency. Some of medications fuel desire. Certain far-famed medicaments can mean screwing with your orgasm. What is the most significant facts you perhaps know know about this?

About the Blog

This is a place to share my love and excessive fandom of film, actors, and television. I gush a lot, and I complain a lot, usually not simultaneously.

I share my take on the latest movies I’ve seen (some new, some new to me, and some classics that are worth a rewatch), and a little promotion here and there for shows or films that I feel deserve a little more attention than they’re getting.

So, kick back, settle in, switch on, tune in, or whatever you have to do and join in on the love for all things that move on-screen.
