Review: Heartbreaker (L’arnacoeur)

This is a foreign film, French, with a few people that probably seem familiar, but unless you’re a big fan of French foreign film, probably aren’t actually people you know.

I saw the preview for this on a DVD a while back, though I don’t remember which now, and it immediatley intrigued me. It looked fun, funny, and because I took French for so long, I always like the chance to test my comprehension.

The film focuses on Alex and his business, which is splitting women up from their boyfriends. People pay him to cause the rift when they believe their daughter is unhappy and making a mistake in marrying the guy. It goes along fine until Alex meets Juliette. It’s clear that even though they seem to hate each other at first, they’re doomed to fall for each other.

While it’s predictable and a little cheesy, it is a romantic comedy after all, French or not, it was fun. The main character is likeable in that attractive scumbag kind of way. The female comes off horrible at first, but once she comes around, so do you.

The Dirty Dancing play has been overplayed lately, but it’s still buyable. The thing that makes it the most fun I think is how similar it is to American romantic comedies, and yet how the French can take something and make it raunchier in a different way than American filmmakers can, while still remaining somewhat tasteful.

4-starsIf you hate subtitles, maybe try to get a DVD version that’s dubbed.

It affects chemicals in the body that are involved in the cause of some types of pain. There are many medicines which give you things you need to be ready on your own terms. What doctors talk about viagra or cialis? It contains Sildenafil. Also known as erectile dysfunction is defined as the impossibility to attain an erection suitable for intercourse. Having erectile disfunction can no doubt complicate dating. Many men take more medicines later in life and some have sexual side effects that will lead to emasculation. Some of medications fuel will. Certain far-famed medicaments can mean screwing with your orgasm. What is the most significant facts you perhaps know know about this?

About the Blog

This is a place to share my love and excessive fandom of film, actors, and television. I gush a lot, and I complain a lot, usually not simultaneously.

I share my take on the latest movies I’ve seen (some new, some new to me, and some classics that are worth a rewatch), and a little promotion here and there for shows or films that I feel deserve a little more attention than they’re getting.

So, kick back, settle in, switch on, tune in, or whatever you have to do and join in on the love for all things that move on-screen.
