Tuesday and Thursday Comedies: Guest Appearances Galore!

20 January 2013 by Jess

Go On Ryan tries dating again (and we get a pop-in from Barney’s ex, Nora, from HIMYM, AND Shaun White, who plays a nice guy compared to the dick he was in Friends with Benefits) and it turns out he’s not bad at it. In the process, however, he ends up hurting Carrie, whom he’s […]

New Girl Nick’s dad (special guest appearance by Dennis Farina!) shows up for a visit. He wrangles Jess into buying a horse to sell back for a better price. She knows how upset Nick is with his dad, so she abandons them to try to get them to talk it out. It’s fun having guest […]

Wednesday Night: Surprises, Twists and Less Than That

14 January 2013 by Jess

American Horror Story: Asylum Lana gets released and visits Dr. Thredson’s apartment to give him the good news that the police are coming to arrest him for the Bloodyface murders. He presses his luck and she shoots him before the police arrive. Astonishingly enough, it looked to me like she missed the vital organs and somehow he still dies. She […]

Guys with Kids and the Scoop on 1600 Penn

13 January 2013 by Jess

Guys with Kids Marny’s dad comes by for a visit (Ernie Hudson, you probably remember him as Winston Zeddemore from Ghostbusters!) and makes Gary nervous because he’s never been alone with his father in law without Marny’s mother as a buffer. Chris is dating again and when he gets stood up, since he got stuck with two tickets […]

Tuesday Night: Surrogates, Gay Bars and Bob Costas

12 January 2013 by Jess

Here’s the recaps from Tuesday that we missed because of the unfortunate spring scheduling that pits 8 great shows against each other within a two-hour time block Go On Ryan is faced with a TV appearance embarrassment as Bob Costas asks him to do a screen test of sorts for his show. Mr. K, after assisting with […]

Weekend Catch-Up: New Sunday Night Line-Up

7 January 2013 by Jess

Since Elementary was the only new episode last Thursday, I figured I’d lump it in with Sunday’s recaps to lengthen things up a bit. Turns out I didn’t need to! Plenty of new stuff going on to speculate about. Elementary Watson looks like she’s trying to search out her next sober companion in this episode […]

New Year, New Episodes

3 January 2013 by Jess

Parenthood After a little pushing, Sarah and Hank go on a date. Sarah is weirded out in the morning when she wakes up alone, but it turns out that Hank got up early to bring her croissants in bed. I think they’re a better fit than her or Mark, but I still like Mark a […]

The Last of the Winter Finale Recaps

31 December 2012 by Jess

It took me a while, but here are the catch-ups from the last few winter finales. Last Resort Sam goes off in search of his wife while Grace takes over XO duties in his stead. They are reunited briefly, but get split up again when Christine is retaken as a captive. A Chinese envoy arrives […]

About the Blog

This is a place to share my love and excessive fandom of film, actors, and television. I gush a lot, and I complain a lot, usually not simultaneously.

I share my take on the latest movies I’ve seen (some new, some new to me, and some classics that are worth a rewatch), and a little promotion here and there for shows or films that I feel deserve a little more attention than they’re getting.

So, kick back, settle in, switch on, tune in, or whatever you have to do and join in on the love for all things that move on-screen.
