Double Revenge: Renewed Plans and New Partnerships

20 January 2014 by Jess

I meant to get these up earlier in the day, before Monday night’s new episodes began, but my day got away from me and I’m now behind on a few other things as well! In any case, here are the recaps from the last two weeks’ worth of Revenge!

Revenge 1/12/14

Victoria brings Emily back to the Grayson house to keep a closer watch on her and determine when and whether she regains her memory fully–particularly the bit about Daniel having shot her.

Now that he knows the truth about the pregnancy and the truth about Emily’s plan, Daniel goes to Sara to try to reconcile. She resists at first, but he convinces her pretty easily.

Though Emily has recovered her memory and is back to her normal self with Nolan, she is pushing away from Aiden, leaving him open to Niko, his ex, and Takeda’s daughter, who has held a candle waiting for him for years.

With a new plan in progress, Emily gives Victoria false information about her past, and covers up Daniel’s attempted murder in order to keep it going. Victoria is fully convinced of Emily’s charade, but Daniel wants out of his marriage no matter what.

Revenge 1/19/14

I watched this one before last week’s, so I was a little confused as to why Emily’s memory seemed completely intact, but it all makes more sense now!

Emily is still pushing Aiden away, and she learns how Daniel plans to get her to divorce him, by inviting Sara into their marriage every chance he gets. Though a little dismayed at his brazenness, Emily devises a plan to rip Sara back out of the picture, putting Sara’s relationship with her mother in jeopardy. It works. For now.

Margaux’s magazine is finally out, but she realizes that her assistant took a bribe from Conrad to change the final copy before it went to print, and now to avoid a lawsuit–initiated by Conrad despite the fact it was his words added to the magazine in the first place–Margaux is prepared to let Daniel go and bring Conrad in.

Patrick learns more about his father, whose history Victoria has kept from him, and he reaches out to meet the man to learn more about where he came from.

Niko wants her own revenge for her father’s death and asks for Aiden’s help, not realizing that Aiden is the one responsible. He tries to get her out of the Hamptons, ostensibly to pursue a lead on the killer, but I don’t think she’ll be gone long.

AIR DATE NOTICE: Revenge is off until MARCH! Make a note! Three episodes after the winter break, and now they’re taking off until March 9th, where they will also move to a new time block! More news on that as it comes available. Until then, Graysons! Watch your backs!

Up next:

We have a full week ahead! Holeee cow!

First, Monday night has the two-hour Sleepy Hollow season finale! How I Met Your Mother and 2 Broke Girls are new as well, and you can find the premiere of Klondike on Discovery Channel. This is a historic fiction piece about the gold rush in the Yukon. The previews look awesome, so I wanted to tune in. It is a two hour show, but it’s cable, so there are encore presentations. Check your local listings!

Tuesday, Agents of SHIELD is off this week, so we can watch the new episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine live! Yay! Justified is new, as well as New Girl, Trophy Wife, and Chicago Fire. Also, it looks like Klondike is airing Parts 2 and 3 the same week instead of as a weekly thing, so part 2 will air Tuesday, and 3 on Wednesday.

Wednesday, Psych, The Tomorrow People, AHS, Nashville, Chicago PD, and Men at Work are all new!

Thursday, Rake debuts on Fox, and The Michael J. Fox Show and Parenthood are all new. Also, Reign returns with a new episode this week. The Crazy Ones and Elementary are off this week.

Friday, Hawaii Five-0 is off this week, so it’s just new eps of Enlisted and Dracula!

Next Sunday is empty! With Revenge off, we’re free for the night!

About the Blog

This is a place to share my love and excessive fandom of film, actors, and television. I gush a lot, and I complain a lot, usually not simultaneously.

I share my take on the latest movies I’ve seen (some new, some new to me, and some classics that are worth a rewatch), and a little promotion here and there for shows or films that I feel deserve a little more attention than they’re getting.

So, kick back, settle in, switch on, tune in, or whatever you have to do and join in on the love for all things that move on-screen.
