I mapped out the shows I wanted to watch for the new fall season weeks ago as soon as the premieres were announced, but seeing them all huddled together in such a small table, this is pretty effed up.
Last season’s schedule (see “Old Standbys”) actually looks somewhat manageable, except for Thursdays, which are now a clusterfuck because NBC decided to compete with ABC’s line-up. But, add in all the NEW shows and that’s where the scheduling problems really kick into high gear.
Not all of these premiere on the same week – some don’t even start until November! – but there’s no way I can keep up with all of these this season. I’m expecting a few to fall flat right out of the gate, so that will cut back on this list a little bit, but Thursdays and Mondays are going to be a royal mess until that time.
This isn’t even mentioning any of the shows still in progress (Burn Notice, The Newsroom, The Bridge, etc.), but I expect most of the summer shows to wrap up by the end of September to make room for all the new stuff.
Furthermore, I believe our Showtime subscription is going to run out before I can get into Homeland or Masters of Sex at the end of September, so that’s just going to be too bad for me, but probably not too bad for my sanity. I anticipate some serious frenzy once all these shows get into full swing.
Which show are you most looking forward to this fall? (Agents of SHIELD, Agents of SHIELD… 😉
Are there any that AREN’T on my list that you think should be?
Let me know in the comments!
