The Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon Episode 10: Low Winter Sun Edition

11 August 2013 by Jess

This fall is looking like a scheduling nightmare. Though Mark Strong’s new show, Low Winter Sun (AMC) starts tonight (8/11), a few weeks before most of the networks debut the new lineup, it looks awesome so I thought I’d feature it and its star this week.

Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon: Episode 10

I’m so glad this guy has a television show! He is so devilishly brilliant and incredibly talented, in a dark, twisty kind of way, but so far, he hasn’t had the top billing exposure. Well, here’s your chance, sir. Take it away! Though he hasn’t been a major lead in any prominent films, he has found himself alongside some pretty prominent people! Including one of the many familiar, Oscar-friendly, and crazy talented faces in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy…

Photo of Colin Firth

Colin Firth! He’s not a favorite of mine, but I can’t deny the man is talented. I do prefer him in comedic roles (like Love Actually) to some of his more dramatic roles. That British wit comes through, and suits him so well. I didn’t watch this next movie in its entirety (there’s only so much ABBA I can take), but it did put Firth next to Hollywood Royalty, the woman who can do anything…

Photo of Meryl Streep

Meryl Streep! That’s right, the legend herself. Though Mamma Mia was one of my least favorite films of hers, she clearly had a ball with it. This woman’s career is so long and ridiculously awesome, it’s hard to believe there’s a major player out there she hasn’t worked with. She’s been on screen with Clint Eastwood, Steve Martin, Denzel Washington, Al Pacino, Dustin Hoffman, Robert Redford, Shirley Maclaine, and, of course…

Photo of Kevin Bacon

Kevin Bacon! The pair worked together on The River Wild, a terrifying look into what happens when crazy people take over your rafting trip. This may have been the first Kevin Bacon movie I saw, and he scared me so badly in that role, I didn’t watch another movie of his for over 6 years! (I was just a little kid when I saw that movie, so his role was pretty damn scary to a six-year-old!)

In any case, that last connection brings us to a wrap!

Results: 2 degrees of separation

Believe me, I tried to find a way around the Mamma Mia connection, but it came so quickly (and it was WAY past my bedtime when I put this episode together), I couldn’t work on a new one. Still, it’s a pretty interesting way to piece together four very interesting actors.

By the way, if you ever see a way to pare down the degrees of separation and point out how to connect the actor in question to Kevin Bacon through fewer connections, leave a comment and prove your movie buff prowess!

It affects chemicals in the body that are involved in the cause of some types of pain. There are many medicines which give you things you need to be ready on your own terms. What doctors talk about viagra or cialis? It contains Sildenafil. Also known as erectile dysfunction is defined as the impossibility to attain an erection suitable for intercourse. Having erectile dysfunction can no doubt complicate dating. Many men take more medicines later in life and some have sexual side effects that will lead to impotency. Some of medications fuel will. Certain far-famed medicaments can mean screwing with your orgasm. What is the most significant facts you perhaps know know about this?

About the Blog

This is a place to share my love and excessive fandom of film, actors, and television. I gush a lot, and I complain a lot, usually not simultaneously.

I share my take on the latest movies I’ve seen (some new, some new to me, and some classics that are worth a rewatch), and a little promotion here and there for shows or films that I feel deserve a little more attention than they’re getting.

So, kick back, settle in, switch on, tune in, or whatever you have to do and join in on the love for all things that move on-screen.
