Bachelor/ette party fun! Shawn and Gus throw Lassiter a stag party and they even manage to find an old high school friend of his. However, the man was actually just a random name that Lassie said because he didn’t want a bachelor party, but the guys called his bluff.
Marlowe gets more than she bargained for when she gets taken by some other criminals and held until the guys all come to her rescue.
A little insight into the chief’s experience with marriage and men as she recounts some incredible marital bliss moments, and some TMI fantasies about not being married.
Once the couple says their vows, everything seems to be going hunky dory at the reception. Until Juliet finds a receipt in Shawn’s pocket. A receipt that explains his “miraculous” vision that told him where the men were keeping Marlowe. She decides to ask him about it, really hoping he has a good explanation for it, but Shawn, his relationship moments flashing before his eyes, decides to tell her the truth, though not in so many words. She’s a smart girl and she figures it out, though–he’s not actually psychic. Just very observant.
When she realizes how much of their time together has been a lie, she storms off, throwing her prosecco in his face. Gus sees the incident and hangs up with Rachel to come to Shawn’s side.
WHOA. I know it was a big lie, but can you blame the guy? Juliet wouldn’t even hear him out! He’s a good person. It’s not like he was lying because he wanted to–though he did enjoy the make-believe/gimmick part of the job–he was lying because he would be in serious trouble if he didn’t.
I’ve always liked Juliet, but she should definitely be giving him the benefit of the doubt here. What the hell did she expect him to say when she found that receipt, anyway?
The Americans
Philip and Elizabeth adjust to separation life. Elizabeth is having trouble getting the kids to obey her–clearly they still see her as the one who decided this arrangement, even though technically Philip was the one who suggested it.
Elizabeth’s friend/ex-lover Gregory gets into trouble with the FBI. KGB wants to send him to Moscow, but he’s an American, whether they like it or not. He doesn’t want to go to Moscow, no matter how much trouble he’s in. Just as they’re about to make him go, he gets into a shootout with the law, and loses.
It’s clear Elizabeth is going to grieve his passing–they were very close, after all–but I’m still rooting for her to give Philip another chance. He’s a good father and a good husband, despite having gone off with his ex. She told him he had another son.
You really expect him not to do anything after that? If Elizabeth could listen to that, maybe she’d come around, at least enough to put them back on the possibility of getting back together.
The kids are being a little harsh, especially Paige, but that’s how kids are when they don’t understand something–they blame and lash out at the simplest explanation.

I know this was a little short today, or at least it felt short to me, but for some reason, my head’s been really rejecting the computer thing at work for eight hours and then at home for another five or six lately. I think I may not be getting enough sleep…
Anyway, we’re on for new episodes of Hannibal, Men at Work, and the SEASON FINALE of Go On Thursday night. Grey’s and Elementary are off, again, this week. Can you believe it’s almost the end of the week again!? Time flies, n’est-ce pas?
Fair warning: I may have to catch up Friday’s night’s new shows because I’m headed on a day trip that day, but we’ll see. I may get back early enough to catch Happy Endings and Cult. If not, I’ll add them into the catch-up over the weekend.
Speaking of which, I’ll be doing a catch-up post on this week’s Nashville and How to Live with Your Parents sometime over the weekend (hopefully), so look for those coming up!
