Tuesday Night: Surrogates, Gay Bars and Bob Costas

12 January 2013 by Jess

Here’s the recaps from Tuesday that we missed because of the unfortunate spring scheduling that pits 8 great shows against each other within a two-hour time block

Go On

Ryan is faced with a TV appearance embarrassment as Bob Costas asks him to do a screen test of sorts for his show. Mr. K, after assisting with the creation of the soil sample-taking robot for the Mars Rover, takes on Ryan as his next major challenge.

After Mr. K talks to Costas, he changes the show’s format to intellectual topics like art and culture, and Ryan bombs–again.

I think there needs to be a transition in this show. The premise is that the characters are in group therapy for grief counseling, but that premise was never going to last forever.

Even halfway through the first season, it has transitioned into more of a general support group for any life changes and discussions. I’d like to see it take more of a step forward into some kind of progress.

The New Normal

Bryan and David are looking to have more children after Goldie delivers their first, and it turns into a mad scramble between them and Bryan’s ex, Monty, for Goldie to be the surrogate who will carry their next child(ren).

Shania is dealing with some mean girls at school, and Nana and Rocky give her some pointers on “reading”–getting what you want by insulting others. Not exactly a great thing to teach a kid, but when it comes to bullying, this is a pretty good solution.

And, Shania turned it all around on the girls–she came off like an overbearing demanding “queen bee” at first, but it was only until she won them over when she revealed her real plans, to have them all be accepting of their differences.
Goldie starts making her own children’s clothes and selling them at the farmer’s market, and from the few moments we see, it looks like they might be a hit.

Happy Endings

Max is still looking to meet a guy, and once again, Jane comes to his aid. Brad feels a little emasculated by Jane’s bread-winning, so he decides to try to fix the dimmer switch in the apartment himself, instead of calling someone, except for Dave, who agrees to help.

Alex and Penny exploit a pop star’s visit to Alex’s store. Once the girl finds out, Penny and Alex find out how she’s just looking for love, and they pledge to help her out.

Max discovers that he doesn’t fit into any of the typical gay subcultures, so he creates his own. It actually works out all right, and he does meet someone.

That is malarky, sir. -Brad

Recaps of Guys with Kids, the new show 1600 Penn, and shortly after that, we’ll have AHS, Chicago Fire, and Nashville, followed by the Thursday night dramas.

It affects chemicals in the body that are involved in the cause of some types of ache. There are many medicines which give you things you need to be ready on your own terms. What doctors talk about viagra or cialis? It contains Sildenafil. Also known as erectile malfunction is defined as the impossibility to attain an hard-on suitable for intercourse. Having erectile dysfunction can no doubt complicate dating. Many men take more medicines later in life and some have sexual side effects that will lead to impotency. Some of medications fuel desire. Certain far-famed medicaments can mean screwing with your orgasm. What is the most significant facts you perhaps know know about this?

About the Blog

This is a place to share my love and excessive fandom of film, actors, and television. I gush a lot, and I complain a lot, usually not simultaneously.

I share my take on the latest movies I’ve seen (some new, some new to me, and some classics that are worth a rewatch), and a little promotion here and there for shows or films that I feel deserve a little more attention than they’re getting.

So, kick back, settle in, switch on, tune in, or whatever you have to do and join in on the love for all things that move on-screen.
