Double Elementary and Last Resort

9 December 2012 by Jess

Last Resort 11/29/12

Happy (late) Thanksgiving, here’s an episode all about rape. Grace gets assigned to be the attorney for the naval officer accused of committing the crime.

As we later discover, she experienced such a crime first hand and defending a man who had perpetrated the same crime against another woman and was pretending to be innocent was extremely painful for her. The crew also holds a Thanksgiving dinner buffet and invite the islanders to join in.

Rape is an ugly subject, and I think it was very brave of the writers to do an episode that features it as a prominent part of the episode’s storyline, especially because it focuses on rape of female soldiers and officers in the military.

Last Resort 12/6/12

We learn a little bit more about how the Pakistan attack played out and why it happened, and Sam plans to leave the island to meet his wife who’s on her way to see him.

I want to know when is going to get caught. And when James is going to decide whether he wants Grace or Tani. If the winter finale is next week (which I think it is), how much of this is actually going to be resolved and how big of a cliffhanger are we in for? [Bites fingernails nervously]

Elementary 11/30/12

This was kind of a fun episode because Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein) made a guest appearance as the villain! Not only was she a villain, she was a bomb-making villain.

It’s always weird seeing someone who was a regular on a series do a guest appearance on another show because you’re so used to seeing them in their regular series role. If they’re a really good actor, you can see them as both, but not all of them all. Lisa Edelstein was iconic as Dr. Cuddy on House, and while she makes a fine guest appearance, she is always going to be Cuddy to House fans like me. That’s just the way it is.

Elementary “You Do It To Yourself” 12/6/12

Because the Broncos game was on CBS in my area, this episode did not air here, and if it did, it aired at a weird time that I was not able to find or watch. So, after I realized it did air this week in some areas, I watched it online.

Holmes is sick, but that isn’t going to stop him from assisting on a murder that takes the NYPD to Chinatown. A college professor is murdered with both his eyes shot through, and caught up in gambling, sadism, and a love triangle involving him, his ‘wife’ and his TA.

Meanwhile, Joan is dealing with an ex-companion who is accused of a hit and run whom she believes is using again. At the end, Holmes and Watson sit together, waiting for this guy to show up, and although Joan acts like it’s not important for him to be there, it’s clear that their compassion and some level of friendship has evolved and become more than a temporary part of their lives.

Still more recaps on the way!

It affects chemicals in the body that are involved in the cause of some types of hurt. There are many medicines which give you things you need to be ready on your own terms. What doctors talk about viagra or cialis? It contains Sildenafil. Also known as erectile disfunction is defined as the impossibility to attain an erection suitable for intercourse. Having erectile malfunction can no doubt complicate dating. Many men take more medicines later in life and some have sexual side effects that will lead to impotency. Some of medications fuel wish. Certain far-famed medicaments can mean screwing with your orgasm. What is the most significant facts you perhaps know know about this?

About the Blog

This is a place to share my love and excessive fandom of film, actors, and television. I gush a lot, and I complain a lot, usually not simultaneously.

I share my take on the latest movies I’ve seen (some new, some new to me, and some classics that are worth a rewatch), and a little promotion here and there for shows or films that I feel deserve a little more attention than they’re getting.

So, kick back, settle in, switch on, tune in, or whatever you have to do and join in on the love for all things that move on-screen.
