Revenge
It wasn’t much of a winter finale. Jack discovers his father hid a gun from a murder several years earlier (as seen in the flashback episode) that also has to do with the new investor at the bar. Nolan’s ghosts come back to haunt him as well as his former CFO returns and wants a job.
Meanwhile, Daniel has to pull some strings and blackmail to get the votes needed to become the new CEO at Grayson Global. After discovering that Ashley slept with his dad, this particular type of blackmail isn’t too hard to swing. Knew that wasn’t going to work out. Ashley is way too ambitious to be a good match for Daniel. Too willing to do anything, and if there’s one thing we know Daniel really values in his women, its honesty.
Lastly, supposedly the big cliffhanger, Victoria calls Emily, giving Emily leverage over the Graysons that she hadn’t previously had. We’ll see about that. Victoria’s up to something.
Marshall and Lily see just how far Ted went to get baby Marvin’s firsts and catalog them.
How I Met Your Mother
Robin is trying to get with Barney one last time to get him “out of her system” and in so doing, he ends up on a semi-date with Patrice. What happened to his no fatties rule? Isn’t Robin supposed to intercept him because of the “Broath”?
And Ted takes things a little too far with his new role as Marvin’s nanny, catching all Marvin’s first, and refusing to share! But, no worries. Marshall and Lily get him back in the future by taking away his first kid’s first visit with Santa.
Anyway, after watching the rest of season 7 (which as I mentioned I hadn’t seen yet until this weekend), and seeing Barney dump Nora and Robin not dump Kevin, my Barney/Robin saga love is renewed. The writers have done a really good job keeping the viewers guessing and keeping us hoping and wishing for the day when we finally get to see these two work things out, but in the meantime, it is painful watching them go through all these other relationships and break-ups when we know they end up together!
2 Broke Girls
The girls get an intern to help get the store ready to open, but Max has never had to be the boss before, so she lets the new girl get away with more than she should.
It’s exciting seeing the girls finally get their first crack at the cupcake bakery, but from the looks of things, they’ve still got a long way to go. How much can they get done in a week? We shall see–as I think next week is the winter finale!
Hawaii Five-0
Danno gets to hang out with some supermodels, which he clearly enjoys, and I have to admit, I enjoyed too. Danny is an underutilized character on this show, and he really has a lot more comedic relief to offer than they write into the script.
Meanwhile, Max is in the bank, just as it gets robbed, but these are some clever robbers–they manage to bugger up the video cameras without anyone noticing, and they get away with the small amount of money they took only to leave it with the dye packs that were included in it.
Also, appearance by Rumer Willis as the cute teller that Max likes to go see every week. This is the first time I’ve gotten a good look at Rumer Willis in a role (though I know it’s not her first role), and it is really astonishing how much she looks like Demi.

More catch-ups from last week, including Wednesday and Thursday night’s shows. Tuesday night is another full line-up, but as to next week, it looks like NBC is off. ABC Tuesday is still scheduled for new episodes next week, so maybe it was just ABC Sunday who went on winter break already.
