Wednesday Night: More Thanksgiving!

26 November 2012 by Jess

Guys with Kids

Thanksgiving at Sheila’s–pilgrim style! Everyone ends up at Sheila’s for Thanksgiving, where she proceeds to try to impress them the way she would her “society” friends by coming up with a “theme” for the party. Serving food that might have been found at the first Thanksgiving, she manages to turn everyone off and leave them starving for some real food.

However, she realizes that Chris’s friends aren’t going to judge her the same way her friends would, and she learns to stop trying to put on such a perfect exterior for them.

Meanwhile, Gary is camped out in front of an electronics store waiting to get a huge discount on a huge TV. Marny and the kids decide to join him because even though she thinks it’s stupid, it’s more important for them to be together on the holiday. Gary gets a lucky break because he now has his boys to help him stymy another deal-seeker’s plot to get to the TV first. The deal-seeker in question is Emmet Smith, who turns out to be no match for Gary’s kids.

[in Sheila’s apartment] Mom, everything in here is breakable. I don’t trust myself. -Yoda

American Horror Story: Asylum

So Thredson got creepier–didn’t think it was possible. Some dude rips people’s skin off and wears it as a mask. Super weird. How can it get any weirder? He puts the Oedipus complex into some real perspective.
Mary Eunice starts offering demonly advice to a little girl who is clearly disturbed and may or may not have killed some people.
The big story: Jude is fired. What is going to become of this show without Sister Jude? Despite her employment situation, I don’t think she’s going anywhere anytime soon.

Chicago Fire

Once again, it’s Thanksgiving. The firehouse keeps getting called away from their dinner, so it takes them a while to enjoy it. The chief suspects a kid of arson and asks Herrmann to take him around to see what he finds out. As it turns out, the kid does have something to hide, but whether or not it’s arson or fireworks or something else he should not have is yet to be seen.

As an added bonus, one of the calls they take is in a house where the husband is making meth in the basement with his family just upstairs. With that, the chief orders everyone to take a drug test to make sure they didn’t breathe anything in. This puts Severide in a tricky spot because of those hardcore pain meds he’s on.

Casey delivers a baby! I’m a sucker for scenes like that–it’s Casey’s first delivery, and he’s doing it in a traffic pile-up while the woman is still in her car. So cool. However, when he brings it up with Hallie, she admits she’s not sure she wants kids for any reason other than knowing he wants them. (Sidenote: IMDB is already listing her as his wife with the same last name, which we know isn’t right…)

And, last but not least, Shea’s ex comes back to “thank” her for helping her when she had become faint a couple episodes back. Dawson gets rid of her, protecting Shea once again, but then the ex shows up at Shea’s apartment, distraught, and Shea invites her in.

I have mixed feelings on this subplot; on the one hand, it’s good to give Shea a backstory, but there’s no good way for this one to end. The woman is very far along in her pregnancy, and Shea is still saving Severide’s ass every episode from some thing or another, so this is not going to be easy to pleasant, no matter what happens.

More recaps still on the way!

It affects chemicals in the body that are involved in the cause of some types of ache. There are many medicines which give you things you need to be ready on your own terms. What doctors talk about viagra or cialis? It contains Sildenafil. Also known as erectile disfunction is defined as the impossibility to attain an erection suitable for intercourse. Having erectile disfunction can no doubt complicate dating. Many men take more medicines later in life and some have sexual side effects that will lead to impotence. Some of medications fuel desire. Certain far-famed medicaments can mean screwing with your orgasm. What is the most significant facts you perhaps know know about this?

About the Blog

This is a place to share my love and excessive fandom of film, actors, and television. I gush a lot, and I complain a lot, usually not simultaneously.

I share my take on the latest movies I’ve seen (some new, some new to me, and some classics that are worth a rewatch), and a little promotion here and there for shows or films that I feel deserve a little more attention than they’re getting.

So, kick back, settle in, switch on, tune in, or whatever you have to do and join in on the love for all things that move on-screen.
