More Thursday Night Drama: Grey’s and Elementary

19 November 2012 by Jess

Grey’s Anatomy

Bailey starts interfering, something she is historically known not to do, and chastises others for doing, in order to get Arizona out of the house. It works, though!

Cristina is back for good (yay!) and already impresses the interns by doing some surgery that they didn’t expect. She isn’t getting paid much, and the new cardio head seems a little permanently distracted, but it’s good that she’s back.

And all is right with the world. Cristina’s back!

The plane crash victims all have to face their injuries as Callie admits Derek might not operate again and Cristina, as usual, avoid talking about it altogether. However, Callie comes to Derek’s defense saying they haven’t tried everything, and there are still plenty of possibilities. It ruins their chance at more money in a settlement, but it would be awesome to see Shepherd in the OR again!

Meanwhile, Avery’s juggling his own relationship with April, who is constantly going on about how horrible what they’re doing is, and his mother’s relationship with Webber, which accidentally intrudes upon his consciousness when the Chief sends an email to the wrong Avery.

Alex is trying to get Meredith to do some work on the house before she sells it to him, and she points out that all the “blights” on the house are actually memories because she’s lived there most of her life. He concedes and agrees to buy it more or less as is. When he heads to his new home, he discovers Cristina sleeping on the floor and finds she wants to be his roommate.

4-starsThis should be interesting–Yang and Karev have never liked each other that much, so having them under the same roof ought to be good comedic fodder. Just waiting on the Avery/Kepner thing to play out. They’re the only ones really getting any action lately, and their relationship is such an odd one because of how it got its start, not to mention Kepner’s religious beliefs. It’s good to see them at least trying to create some kind of stability though.

Elementary

A little bit of a twist in this one as Holmes discovers that a convicted murderer may have been telling the truth that he was framed–sort of. Evidence was planted, and it turns out that it was Captain Gregson’s partner (guest appearance by ). Watson begins investigating into Holmes’s past and he finally reveals what happened to Irene.

About the Blog

This is a place to share my love and excessive fandom of film, actors, and television. I gush a lot, and I complain a lot, usually not simultaneously.

I share my take on the latest movies I’ve seen (some new, some new to me, and some classics that are worth a rewatch), and a little promotion here and there for shows or films that I feel deserve a little more attention than they’re getting.

So, kick back, settle in, switch on, tune in, or whatever you have to do and join in on the love for all things that move on-screen.
