I’m way behind, and will be for the rest of the week, probably, so I’ll just jump into it!
Revenge
Kara, Amanda and Mason go rogue. Amanda goes after Mason when he refuses to give up on the story of her and Emily–spinning it that they were lovers in juvie–as if women couldn’t stay that close or connected through all these years by some other force! Emily stops her, and teams up with Mason in an effort to get Kara out of town.
Unfortunately, Mason goes rogue and tells Kara the truth about David and the Graysons, leading to Kara’s rogue operation. Kara puts a gun to Conrad’s and Victoria’s heads demanding an explanation for David, and the white-haired man in turn. Aiden comes to the rescue and chloroforms her silently, with Conrad and Victoria none the wiser.
What was that weird fashion bit they were doing through the commercials? Great clothes, but seriously? It wasn’t that interesting!
Hard-core episode. I’m completely puzzled by Emily this season though–it seems that instead of getting her head on straight, she’s playing fast and loose with her alliances. Aiden seems to be on the up and up, for now, but I’m still concerned he’s going to make the wrong move and destroy Emily’s plans.
I couldn’t believe she told Mason the truth–how could she think he would play along? Amanda plays along, for the most part, because she knows Emily is smart and can handle almost anything. But Mason is a wildcard. His motives are always tricky to pinpoint.
Thanksgiving episode in two weeks–the Graysons during the holidays? That should be fun.
New Girl
Jess is on her period and Schmidt turns off the hot water to prove a point that she needs to get a job to cover her share of the rent and bills. Winston gets sympathy PMS and Nick tries going zen to become less angry.
Best part of the whole show: guest appearance by Carla Gugino. This woman is on fire. She is 41 years old and she is one of the sexiest women around, of any age group. Loved her on Entourage, and recently, she was brilliant on Political Animals (alongside the awesomeness that is Sigourney Weaver), but it’s fun seeing her as the woman on top (of Schmidt) in New Girl!
Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23
This was one of the best episodes of this show ever. Chloe killed it with the one-liners. She rocks those anyway, but she was really ON this episode!
Chloe is on a mission to get James on the cover of People magazine for Sexiest Man Alive, and prove to June that she only likes what People tells her to like. Chloe, of course, wins, when June starts seeing James as a really sexy guy, and she inserts herself into the publishing industry when she takes over People for 3 days trying to accomplish her mission.
Chloe fails to get James on the cover, as another woman gets final choice, but she did a hell of a job playing an editor! I wouldn’t want to have her as my boss, real or fake!
Good question. You’re fired. -Chloe
New idea for the photo shoot: James’s horse tramples and kills Brenda. -Chloe
Why did I just draw male genitalia on the board? Because I felt like it. -Chloe
June: Your job? You’ve been working here for 3 days!
Chloe: Yeah, and I’ve come in for every single one of them!
Private Practice
Sam is shooting a reality show, which he thinks will help bring awareness to heart health, but turns out to be a gimmick to get into his personal life. The producers ask about Pete’s death and wander in just when he finds out that his mother is having an affair with a man who he learns is actually his father.
Charlotte is her usual ass-kicking self, pregnant or not. I think those babies are coming by the end of the show. She’s getting huge!
This one gets into the stigma that has been placed on the term and idea people have about “single mothers”. Violet is now a single mother. Addison is technically one too since she and Jake aren’t married. And, Sam was raised by a single mother. It’s an interesting (and hot button) issue.
Whatever your opinions, family, whatever family you ended up with, plays a big role in how you turn out as an adult, whether you want to admit it or not.
This week:
I just started a new part-time job (on top of Nano, marketing my books, my contract work, and internship!) so there will be a lot of catch-up episodes this week. I’m still on top of my word count, but I’m behind on this blog, and probably will be all week. Hopefully can catch up by next Sunday!
Look for catch-ups on CBS Monday, as well as Tuesday’s episodes of Go On, Happy Endings, The New Normal, and Parenthood this week, as well as coverage of Wednesday night’s new episodes of Guys with Kids, AHS: Asylum, Chicago Fire, and Nashville. Thursday’s packed too with new episodes all around.
ALSO: What do we think of the star thing? Too cluttered? I can’t get rid of the shadow around the photos because Blogger fails at life–their template customizer is still broken. Helpful? Not? Comments or email please!
Don’t miss an all new AHS: Asylum Wednesday night!
