Don’t worry–I did catch the Halloween episode AHS: Asylum, but because there’s so much to it, I’m including it in a separate post! But first up, a recap on Tuesday’s Happy Endings and the usual Wednesday shows, Nashville and Guys With Kids.
Happy Endings
First off, the gang dresses up as the Jackson 5 marionettes, but after they can’t even get out of the apartment, they give up and mess with Dave drinking beer out of sync with the rest of the marionette movements.
Dave and Alex are shopping for a new place together and consequently drive their realtor a little mad.
“It’s too… Shia LaBoeuffy.” -Alex
Max introduces Brad to Max World in which everything is free, and Brad’s former colleague sees them and thinks he’s homeless. Jane helps Penny negotiate a new car from the dealer, and Penny ends up acing it even without Jane’s help. Because Jane did such an excellent job, the Car Czar offers her a job.
“No one should ever leave the house without their ideal salary written on a piece of paper.” -Jane
Another win 🙂
Guys with Kids
These guys already did their Halloween episode last week, so this week, it was all about Emily reorganizing Gary’s house and purging old stuff and Chris and Nick arguing while their boys are locked in the bathroom.
It was pretty entertaining, but it is a little bizarre that they aired their Halloween show last week when the show could have aired ON Halloween.
Nashville
Lots of breakups and shake-ups in this episode. Avery gets mad at Scarlett for talking him up, saying he doesn’t need her help. The media lowers the boom on Juliette for shoplifting a bottle of nail polish. Rayna and Teddy are in trouble as a woman from their past (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) returns–and it turns out that they were having an affair at some point.
Rayna and Deacon also are going through some problems, and with Teddy’s jealousy thrown in, Rayna agrees to fire Deacon. Gunnar starts sleeping with a girl at the record company/publisher, creating yet another love triangle. Juliette really puts her foot in it in an interview with Good Morning America and loses her tour, her sponsors, and her good girl image in one fell swoop.
This show is really lucky it doesn’t have too many characters or it would really start losing viewers who can’t keep up with who’s screwing whom.
This week:
It turns out, all I missed last night was Happy Endings, with the other shows being suspended for Sandy coverage, so at least there was not too much to catch up on with NaNo in full swing!
Thursday night, ABC is hosting the CMAs, and NBC is trying to compete with a two-hour episode of The Voice, so the evening’s line-up is a lot lighter with the only new episodes being It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Elementary. Fine by me! More Nano time 🙂
Tune in for your favorite Thursday shows and then we’re off until Sunday!
