CBS Mondays: It’s Good to Be Home

9 October 2012 by Jess

I had to do battle for the remote Monday night, but I won airtime for the regulars (sweet victory!), so here goes Monday night on CBS:

How I Met Your Mother

Barney’s idea of getting back on the horse: “The Great Bangtoberfest.” Nuff said. Ted and Robin get into a competition as to who is happier in their relationship, and Marshall and Lily start looking for a nanny for Marvin so Lily can go back to work. (I first typed nano instead of nanny there–I’m already losing it for next month!)

Last week, we saw Barney and Quinn break off the engagement in the season of break-ups. So, we are still awaiting the next big break-up: Robin and Nick or Ted and Victoria? Victoria’s got history on the show dating back to season 1, so I have a feeling that Robin’s relationship might end first. Ted is more committed to relationships in general, so it will probably take something pretty serious to do the damage. We’ll have to keep watching to see who crashes and burns first. [Insert evil laugh.] I’m just waiting for Barney and Robin’s wedding–seriously. And, as you can see above, who is the girl with the yellow umbrella?

Partners

Joe discovers that Ali slept with Derek Jeter, which leads to an episode-long battle over privacy, and celebrity guessing games. Wyatt is the opposite of stereotypical gay guy in Louis’s opinion because of his complete lack of knowledge on celebrity names and histories. This was a pretty funny one, but it still falls a little short compared to 2 Broke Girls and HIMYM. So, it’s pretty lucky that it’s got the slot right between them or viewership might be really low.

2 Broke Girls

Hilarious, as usual. Caroline pees herself during a robbery of the coffee shop and Han saves the day, pulling a gun out of his trademark fanny pack. What? Yeah. It was pretty hilarious. Everybody gives Caroline a hard time about her incontinence issue, and Max especially because Caroline used her as a leverage with the robber. But, Max throws Caroline to the wolves when they get caught sneaking into the movie theater. Everybody is true to themselves in this show, no matter how weird or gross or mean or creepy that may be, in its own hilarious way, and that type of continuity and familiarity is what we love about shows like this.

Hawaii Five-0

WHOA! Steve and Danny get stranded in the ocean by a killer who commandeers their boat! Sharks, guns, murderers–classic Five-0 action. Legen-wait for it-dary! As it turns out, the killer was paid off by another woman who sent him to kill her husband/stepson (not sure which–I missed that part). But, all’s well that ends sort of well–Danny caught his first fish in the ocean and the team enjoyed it at Kamekona’s food truck, for a fee.

Next week, Steve’s mom resurfaces, suddenly and without warning, so there will be plenty of questions to answer. One, will Steve track down his sister and let her in on the news? Will Steve’s mom have a good excuse for why she let Wo Fat get away? Be sure to tune in to find out!

This week:

We’ve got NBC and Fox Tuesdays–Ben and Kate, New Girl, Go On, The Mindy Project, The New Normal, Parenthood, and ABC’s Private Practice. Not to mention Vegas on CBS. Whew! Long list!

I think New Girl‘s got me hooked for tomorrow at the 8 PM MT slot, and I’m still sticking with The New Normal for the 8:30 slot. However, I’m going to have to check in on the preview spots for Parenthood and Private Practice to make that decision.

Set your calendars and don’t miss a busy Tuesday night line-up!

It affects chemicals in the body that are involved in the cause of some types of pain. There are many medicines which give you things you need to be ready on your own terms. What doctors talk about viagra or cialis? It contains Sildenafil. Also known as erectile disfunction is defined as the impossibility to attain an erection suitable for intercourse. Having erectile dysfunction can no doubt complicate dating. Many men take more medicines later in life and some have sexual side effects that will lead to impotency. Some of medications fuel desire. Certain far-famed medicaments can mean screwing with your orgasm. What is the most significant facts you perhaps know know about this?

About the Blog

This is a place to share my love and excessive fandom of film, actors, and television. I gush a lot, and I complain a lot, usually not simultaneously.

I share my take on the latest movies I’ve seen (some new, some new to me, and some classics that are worth a rewatch), and a little promotion here and there for shows or films that I feel deserve a little more attention than they’re getting.

So, kick back, settle in, switch on, tune in, or whatever you have to do and join in on the love for all things that move on-screen.
