Thursday Night Recap: Up All Night and Scandal

28 September 2012 by Jess

Scandal

The main reason I watched Scandal last season was simply because it was on after Grey’s Anatomy. Private Practice had moved to Tuesday, and Scandal filled the 9 PM slot. However, I think that was exactly what ABC was going for. People were used to watching something after Grey’s that they would watch whatever was put on afterwards.

When it first started, I conceded it wasn’t bad, but as it went on, I lost interest. The president’s affair with Olivia was way less interesting than the affair/baby scandal.

It’s still not a bad show, and Olivia is still pretty much a badass, but the scandals are good enough to keep my focus. I’m not attached to the characters enough to keep watching. I’m going to stick to Elementary in the meantime.

Up All Night

I was afraid of this: season two, the storyline can tend to fall off. Too many big changes happened.

  1. Ava’s show got canceled.
  2. Reagan and Ava are out of work.
  3. Reagan’s becoming a stay at home mom.
  4. Reagan’s brother is part of the cast.
  5. Reagan’s brother and Chris are starting their own business.

That’s a lot of stuff to fit into the first season two episode, and I think the show’s still getting its footing to go on this season. It’s more difficult because it’s only a half-hour show, and it will take longer to get back on its feet from those changes.

With that in mind, I’m hoping that the show settles back into a good routine soon, because I really do love Christina Applegate and Will Arnett in this show!

BONUS:

Since we’re on the subject of Will Arnett, Arrested Development is spoofing the 2012 Election on Tumblr.
Thanks for bringing this up, Mashable 🙂

Next week:

First things first: Sunday night, Revenge returns (!), followed by the premiere of 666 Park Avenue. It looks like the rest of the week doesn’t have any new premieres for my schedule, but looking to the week after that, Nashville premieres, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia returns, and Beauty and the Beast premieres on the CW. We’ll see how the new series do, settling into very competitive time slots! But more on that as the dates get closer.

Tune in Sunday night to watch Revenge and 666 Park Avenue, and check back here Monday morning for a recap!

It affects chemicals in the body that are involved in the cause of some types of hurt. There are many medicines which give you things you need to be ready on your own terms. What doctors talk about viagra or cialis? It contains Sildenafil. Also known as erectile dysfunction is defined as the impossibility to attain an erection suitable for intercourse. Having erectile dysfunction can no doubt complicate dating. Many men take more medicines later in life and some have sexual side effects that will lead to impotence. Some of medications fuel desire. Certain far-famed medicaments can mean screwing with your orgasm. What is the most significant facts you perhaps know know about this?

About the Blog

This is a place to share my love and excessive fandom of film, actors, and television. I gush a lot, and I complain a lot, usually not simultaneously.

I share my take on the latest movies I’ve seen (some new, some new to me, and some classics that are worth a rewatch), and a little promotion here and there for shows or films that I feel deserve a little more attention than they’re getting.

So, kick back, settle in, switch on, tune in, or whatever you have to do and join in on the love for all things that move on-screen.
