NBC Tuesday: Funny and Sweet

12 September 2012 by Jess

Go On

I’m a major Matthew perry Fan, so this one is a no brainer for me. The first episode was sweet and funny in way that I didn’t quite expect. It’s not too jokey or gimmicky, just about right for a primetime sitcom. While it might be too early to tell, for me anyway, whether it’ll get picked up, I’d like to see it stay for a while. Because it is a little more heartwarming and funny than slap-you-in-the-face comedic, I think it’s perfect in the line-up it’s in right now, followed by The New Normal and Parenthood.

The New Normal

Silly me, I didn’t realize they actually aired the pilot MONDAY night, so Tuesday, I actually watched the second episode. Not wanting to miss important plot points, I went onto NBC’s website and watched the pilot. Either way, this one is a winner in my mind. Ellen Barkin is hilarious, and the rest of the cast makes it into a sweet, wonderful comedy. Each character has their own personality that makes them really funny to watch. I’ve been a secret Justin Bartha fan since National Treasure, so getting to see him once a week with his quirky sense of humor is going to be awesome.

Parenthood

I’ve been watching this one since the show started, and I’ll admit, it was a bit of a struggle last season. I was a little worried it would get canceled. Last season, the storyline just went off-track a bit and some of the characters became too difficult to like. However, I was relieved to see that the season premiere seems to be off to a good start. Because it’s such a big family, there’s bound to be plenty of conflict, but I felt like in season two, there was way too much conflict, with everybody. Now, I feel like there will be some chances for the family to learn some new things and grow a little more.

My biggest concern is Crosby: Dax Shepard is definitely my favorite on the show, even though there’s something I like and appreciate about each of the characters. He seemed to be a little more passive in this first episode, and I really hope that his storyline this season develops beyond teaching his son about religion. He’s really a great actor and has a great character, so I hope that there’s more to come soon!

Stay Tuned: Next Week’s Line-Up

That’s it for week one of fall premiere week! Next week, I’ll be covering Fox’s new show, Mob Doctor, NBC’s Revolution, the season two premiere of Up All Night, and week two of the three shows from NBC Tuesday night. Looking forward to a great fall line-up!

It affects chemicals in the body that are involved in the cause of some types of pain. There are many medicines which give you things you need to be ready on your own terms. What doctors talk about viagra or cialis? It contains Sildenafil. Also known as erectile dysfunction is defined as the impossibility to attain an hard-on suitable for intercourse. Having erectile dysfunction can no doubt complicate dating. Many men take more medicines later in life and some have sexual side effects that will lead to emasculation. Some of medications fuel desire. Certain far-famed medicaments can mean screwing with your orgasm. What is the most significant facts you perhaps know know about this?

About the Blog

This is a place to share my love and excessive fandom of film, actors, and television. I gush a lot, and I complain a lot, usually not simultaneously.

I share my take on the latest movies I’ve seen (some new, some new to me, and some classics that are worth a rewatch), and a little promotion here and there for shows or films that I feel deserve a little more attention than they’re getting.

So, kick back, settle in, switch on, tune in, or whatever you have to do and join in on the love for all things that move on-screen.
